When I started designing these flowers I was going for a clean, soft, fresh spring mood of green and whites with a hint of lilac and blush. I remember the day I delivered it because it was nothing but hot summer! The arrangements offered a welcome cool, fresh burst of spring texture with fabulous lilacs, garden roses, sweet fever few, spring tulips, and the ever-so-softly-scented mock orange to enhance the garden party. Unexpected texture in the way of a poppy pod or fig branch also appeared in the designs as I didn’t want the flowers to overwhelm the colors in the linens. Styling the flowers with the gold elephants was an extra sweet touch for the Mom to be.
